About Custom Monuments

As a small boy, Mike DiNella proudly watched his father and grandfather work in the granite sheds of New England. At the time, as all of Quincy Massachusetts' quarries were producing granite, the monument companies would be busy manufacturing beautiful markers and headstones with elaborate, ornate designs.

Mike started in the industry as an apprentice, working in the stone sheds and learning the art of stone cutting. He was trained to sandblast and cut designs, such as deep cultivated roses and other carvings, into stones. Having received training from the best in the industry, he eventually became a Master Granite Cutter.
